About Ipsos
Who we are
Ipsos in the UK is one of the UK’s leading research and evaluation organisations, with more than 300 specialists working in our social research team alone. We partner with government, charities and other organisations to design and deliver high-quality evaluations that inform policy, improve services and amplify people’s voices.
What we do
Ipsos in the UK’s Evaluation team brings particular expertise in evaluating complex and sensitive programmes – from domestic abuse services and refugee integration schemes to counter-extremism interventions and public health initiatives. Across these projects, we have developed approaches that combine rigorous methods with a deep awareness of the ethical and emotional dimensions of research.
Our strength lies in using mixed-methods, blending large-scale surveys, in-depth interviews, economic analysis and lived experience panels, to build a rounded understanding of how programmes work, for whom, and why. We have a strong track record of turning this evidence into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers.
Most recently, we have been working with the Department for Business and Trade on the Group Litigation Order (GLO) redress scheme evaluation. This has given us detailed knowledge of the Horizon scandal, sub-postmasters’ experiences, and the complexities of redress schemes. That experience, alongside our wider portfolio, ensures we are well placed to evaluate the Horizon redress schemes with the care, expertise and independence they require.
